Minibusses
From 1 January 2026 minibuses will be included in the low emission zone regulation. This means that minibuses must be minimum Euro 5 or have a particulate filter fitted in order to be used legally in a low emission zone.
Minibuses are considered passenger cars and need to fulfill the same low emission zone requirements. A minibus is defined as a vehicle with a weight up to 3.5 tons and more than nine seats including the driver.
It is, under special circumstances, possible to register an exemption.
Besides the exemptions listed here, it will be possible to register an exemption, which provides you with six entries to the low emission zones for up to 24 hours.
It will be possible to register exemptions for minibuses ultimo 2025.
