Where are the low emission zones located?

The low emission zones in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Odense, and Aalborg are defined areas. You can find a map of the low emission zones here.

What if I am not driving in the low emission zones?

The particulate filter requirement only applies for the low emission zones.
Remember, if you or someone else drives your vehicle in a low emission zone, the fixed-penalty notice will be issued to the registered owner (user) of the vehicle.

I own a vintage car. How shall I register it?

If your passenger car is registered as vintage in the Danish vehicle register (Køretøjsregisteret), it is exempted from the particulate filter demand.

Non-danish vehicles, which are more than 30 years old, are exempted from the particulate filter demand.
